WINEMAKER'S NOTES

FIRST PLANTED IN 1974, our original Founder’s Block of Chardonnay has bestowed us with incredibly low yields of correspondingly concentrated fruit. The 2005 Founder’s Block Chardonnay has effusive stone fruit aromas of apricot and fig that build on the floral, spice, and hazelnut. The wine unfolds with rich aromas of golden apple, honeysuckle, nutmeg and mineral flavors— all adding mouth-filling texture and holding aloft clean, citrus notes that weave through to the lingering finish.
