WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Chalk Hill’s Founder’s Block Chardonnay is only produced in exceptional Chardonnay vintages from our “Founder’s Block” vineyard planted in 1974. The vines produce highly concentrated fruit at very low yields. Aromas and flavors are vast and ever-evolving: gardenia, ginger, wet stone, and fresh red apple are constant themes across vintages. The fruit from these beautiful heritage vines creates a balanced wine—its acid, fruit and texture all commingle into the sublime, providing exceptional longevity in bottle. This wine can be cellared for at least ten years.
