1999 Estate Vineyard Selection Pinot Gris

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The 1999 Pinot Gris was grown on Chalk Hill’s coolest site during an optimal growing season for this variety. After whole cluster pressing, the juice fermented in neutral oak with both native and cultured yeasts to promote flavor complexity. The wine was held sur lies and stirred biweekly to expose the natural richness of the fruit. The wine shows classic flavors of apricot, peach, almond and apple.
