The first thing I need to say is that Chalk Hill Winery is one of the most beautiful wineries I have ever visited. Chalk Hill is located between the cool Russian River appellation, and the warm Alexander Valley. The entrance is extremely unassuming as you wind your way on a gravel road by an equestrian area. The tasting room is located in a beautiful building that is elevated and looks out over hillside vineyards. Julie was our wine guide and hummer driver during this intimate tour for my husband and I. We loved every minute of the tour. It was very educational. Julie let us ask endless questions and told us so much about the winery and it’s history. We enjoyed a nice variety of red and white wines throughout our tour as well as got to visit the organic gardens, beautiful riding stables and chapel on the property. We’d highly recommend doing this tour.
